This blog has been created for a course called Participation in Occupation for 2nd year Occupational Therapy students at Otago Polytechnic. The first half of this course, and therefore blog, looks at technology and how technology can enhance Occupational Therapy practice.
In second semester, we focus more on participating in occupation, as the course name suggests. My blogs for second semester will consist of looking at a chosen activity in depth, and reflecting on various aspects of this.
Yes I thought this may not be such a good idea, but i do agree that explain what OT is can be rather difficult. I shall remember this video when people struggle to understand my explanation of what OT is
Oh Nicole, this rap is explains the work done by Occupational Therapists very well, in an interactive way. Good post!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Charlotte! I thought it was pretty cool as I never really know how to explain OT to people. From now on i will just refer them to this video :)
ReplyDeleteDo you plan on showing this to clients you work with too?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure that would be entirely appropriate, however if they dont understand why they have been referred to an OT, this is always an option!!
